About Jeomil Tovar

As an Afro-Latino, born of Dominican, Portuguese and Venezuelan descent, Jeomil Tovar strives to push forward in an industry that offers very little opportunity for actors of color and continuing to use his voice for those that cannot.

As of May 2019, Tovar can be found seeking more opportunities to inspire and be inspired by others through actively auditioning and learning more from his peers in the industry after 2 years of Theatre BFA performance and dance courses at Salem State University from 2015 to 2017. He continues to be grateful for the support of the faculty of the Theatre, and Music & Dance Department at Salem State University and the various independent/professional companies within the Greater Boston Area who have recently helped him continue to grow as an artist.

Tovar is continuously challenged by the process of learning with every new opportunity he gets because it constantly reminds him there is always much more to learn. Among the numerous things learned this is a constant reminder: there is always room to grow, and you should never give up on your endeavors. He loves cheese, singing vocal runs when no asked him to (which is all the time), establishing new connections, and becoming way too invested in a new TV Series. Speaking of, you can spot him on Episode 1 of the new Netflix Series “The Society.”

At the moment, Jeomil Tovar is self-represented and takes on new gigs/roles/opportunities on a limited basis. Inquire about his availability:
